Emily Richardson, MSW, LCSW
Emily Richardson is the Manager of Co-Responder Services at the Colorado Department of Human Service’s Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. Since 2004, she has worked in a variety of settings with justice-involved populations, all with behavioral health disorders.
She worked in the community mental health center setting for over 11 years and in the last 5 of those years she was the liaison for local law enforcement, a collaborative partner and course director for a Regional Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training program, and also developed, implemented, and supervised Co-Responder Programs in three different law enforcement agencies. She has been with OBH since 2018 and is responsible for contractual oversight of OBH funded Co-Responder Programs in Colorado and also serves as a senior authority for law enforcement and behavioral health partnerships, needs analysis, and cross-system reform.
